Your Path To Becoming A Millionaire

If you are on the path of becoming a millionaire or even if you have just thought about it a little, you might want to consider what it is that millionaires have that you don’t?  One of the first things that I've noticed is something called the millionaire mindset.

I remember as a child growing up in a loving family… some looking in from the outside might say I had the perfect family.  I had 2 parents, siblings, a couple of pets and a nice home.  But for others, this was not the case.

Little Susan next door thought she had the same thing but it all came crashing down when they heard that their father had a whole ‘other family on the other side of town.  Now although Susan’s mom tried to make everything ok… Well, let’s just say we thought everything was ok until years later when the effect manifested themselves in Susan’s choices and became really evident in her relationships.

Susan met some really nice guys but every time it started developing into something serious… you guessed it… Susan bounced or found ways to end the relationship.  As a result of her past with her father, it was showing up in her relationships and stopping her from moving forward.

Take a look at this short clip which is a great example.

See, the past hurts and if you let it, it will stop you from moving forward.  You can either continue were you are or learn from it and move on. So what does all this have to do with the millionaire mindset?  Well, a lot!  Your mindset dictates everything, including whether you decide to move forward or stay right where you are.  Now, you’ve read and listened to two short examples about your mindset and how it affects your actions.  As you can see, childhood influences shape our lives.  In fact, childhood influences can also shape the financial aspects of our lives.

We can either have self defeating thoughts or thoughts that promote success.  T Harv Eker from Secrets of a Millionaire Mindset states, “Your character, your thinking and your beliefs are a critical part of what determines the level of your success.”

What examples in your life are keeping you from success? Do you think you have a millionaire mindset? Well, I guess first we need to examine how millionaires think versus poor people.

Rich people believe “I create my life.”  Poor people believe “Life happens to me.”

Rich people play the money game to win. Poor people play the money game to not lose.

Rich people think big.  Poor people think small.

Do you see how having a millionaire mindset is important?  These are just a few ways that millionaires think versus poor people. Now that you know that your thinking plays a big part in your financial success, what actions will you take to change it?  Not sure… no worries.  The first thing is just recognizing that there are differences and you can change it.

Until next time,
